Biography

Paula Hayes is a board-certified family nurse practitioner and a member of the Nurse Practitioner Association. She completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice at Frontier Nursing University in Versailles, KY, where she studied a patient-centered approach to improving diabetes management in suburban primary care practice. Paula received her Master of Science in nursing education from the State University of New York at Utica Rome Institute of Technology in Utica, NY, and earned her post-masters family nurse practitioner certificate also from the State University of New York at Utica Rome Institute of Technology. She began her nursing studies at the State University of New York at Adirondack Community College in Queensbury, NY, earning her Associate of Applied Science in nursing. Following this, Paula completed her Bachelor of Science in nursing from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh in Plattsburgh, NY. She has a particular interest in disease prevention and overall wellness.

After volunteering as a nurse on a medical mission in Guatemala, Paula decided to advance her career to become a nurse practitioner. She loves watching her patients grow, develop, and feel better. Paula believes listening is most important when caring for patients. She cares deeply about providing quality care to her patients and strives to treat patients the way she would want her family treated. Paula enjoys getting to know patients and what motivates them as well as what their priorities are.

Paula is a native of the Capital Region! Outside of work, she enjoys kayaking, biking, traveling, and spending time with family.
